Anglican Beliefs
Distinctive features of Anglican beliefs can be found in the Book of Common Prayer which includes the Thirty-Nine Articles. Above all, Anglicans believe that the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the gospel that sets people free, renews our broken world, and thus is central to every aspect of life and ministry. Our relationship with Christ grows as we encounter him in Scripture, Sacraments, Spirit, and Service.
The Anglican Church in North America has from the beginning been an exercise in global Anglican partnership, called into being by the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON) at its first Jerusalem Assembly in 2008 as orthodox Anglicans were being hounded out of their traditional spiritual homes in the United States and Canada.

What is common to all is an inheritance of worship that recognizes the supremacy of the Bible and finds expression through the Prayer Book. To understand what and how Anglicans pray is to understand what they believe. The Prayer Book, described as the Scriptures arranged for worship, provides helpful resources for everything from personal daily devotions to large public gatherings of worship. It includes prayers for every season of life.
Nicene Creed
The Anglican Church in North America acknowledges that the form of the Nicene Creed customary in the West is that of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, including the words “and the Son” (filioque), which form may be used in worship and for elucidation of doctrine.
